An early Christmas gift has arrived for you with Illumination’s Sing 2.
Buster Moon and all his friends return for a brand new musical adventure. His dreams are bigger this time around. Buster Moon and his likable crew embark on a journey to the capital Redshore City (think Las Vegas). There, they seek to create the ultimate performance of their life. But it’s not as easy as they think. Moon wants something new and exciting that will take them to to the next level. A new character is introduced named Clay Calloway (a rock star legend). Due to the fact that Clay has lost his wife, he has stopped performing and isolates himself from the music world. Moon and his crew learn about Clay and go on a mission to convince him to return to the stage. Do they complete the mission? You will have to find out for yourself.
Director Garth Jennings returns to direct the sequel. Jenning achieves to deliver a story that focuses to dream bigger. He uses a catalog of known songs to help the message be understood and he does not fail. The feel-good film has a known songs like “Break Free” by Ariana Grande, “Stuck In A Moment You Can’t Get Out Of” by U2, “Could Have Been Me” to name a few. What is special about Sing 2 is its likable characters. the uplifting story, its heartwarming moments, and its mind-blowing animation. This is Illumination’s best work. The animation is gorgeous. The stunning visuals will immerse viewers into the world of these fantastic characters.

All original voice talent from the first film returns. Standouts are Scarlett Johansson as Ash and Matthew McConaughey as Buster Moon. Johansson is surprisingly very good in all her songs! Bono as Clay Calloway is underused, but if you are a fan of the singer, there is a new song sung by him for the soundtrack.
Sing 2 feels like the last gift you open on Christmas and its the one you wanted the most! Do not miss it! A+
