Just in! After 15 years after the last animated Garfield film produced by Davis Entertainment Company for 20th Century Fox, Garfield returns in a new animated feature by Alcon Entertainment. Sony Pictures is set to distribute the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

One of the busiest men in Hollywood, Chris Pratt will be giving life to one of the most beloved animated cats in history! The script will be written by Oscar nominee David Reynolds, best known for his work in Disney’s Finding Nemo. The animated film will be directed by Mark Dindal who worked in Disney’s Chicken Little.

At this time, there are no details regarding the story or any additional casting as the film is in very early development.
